It is typically harvested four times a year: around the Grain Rain solar term (2–3 days before or after) for spring tea; 3–4 days before the Summer Solstice for summer tea; 3–4 days before the Autumn Equinox for autumn tea; and after the Cold Dew solar term for dew tea, with each season spaced approximately 50 days apart. Wuyi Shuixian is highly adaptable and easy to cultivate, accounting for 60% to 70% of the tea production in northern Fujian’s oolong tea region, playing a crucial role. It is not only popular among locals but also widely sold in Fujian, Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao, and Singapore.
