Huangshan Maofeng is one of China’s ten most famous teas and a rare gem among green teas. It was created by Xie Yutai Tea Shop during the Guangxu period of the Qing Dynasty. The name Huangshan Maofeng was derived from the fact that the newly produced tea leaves were covered with white hairs and had pointed tips, and the fresh leaves were picked from the peaks of Huangshan Mountain.
Glass cups are the best choice for tea sets. The tea-to-water ratio should be 1:50, and the water temperature should be 85-90°C. When the tea has been drunk to about one-third of the cup, more water can be added. Generally, the tea is brewed three times.
