Detailed Introduction to Qian Dao Yu Ye
Originally known as Qian Dao Hu Longjing, Qian Dao Yu Ye was created in 1982. After being tasted by experts in 1983, it was personally named ‘Qian Dao Yu Ye’ by them. Qian Dao Yu Ye tea and Qingxi Yu Ya, which are produced in the same region and have similar characteristics, are both rising stars among Zhejiang’s famous teas. A poem praises them: “Produced by the shores of Qian Dao Lake, their quality surpasses all others. Jade Leaf and Jade Bud, sisters of Mu Zhou tea.” The production of Qian Dao Yu Ye is similar to that of West Lake Longjing but has its own distinct characteristics. The fresh leaves used must be tender, uniform, and in bud form, with the standard being one bud and one leaf just unfolding, and the bud must be longer than the leaf.
Thousand Island Jade Leaf Tasting
Thousand Island Jade Leaf is produced on the vast, scenic, humid, and cool Thousand Island Lake. The beautiful environment has shaped the excellent quality and elegant appearance of Thousand Island Jade Leaf, with its moon-white new buds, emerald green like water, small and adorable, and a ‘delicate and beautiful’ appearance. The finished tea has a flat, straight appearance with green and delicate buds; its aroma is fresh and lasting, with a rich and sweet taste, a tender green and bright infusion colour, and a robust and uniform leaf base.
