Oolong tea, also known as green tea, is made by combining some of the characteristics of green tea and black tea, such as withering, greening, greening, kneading and drying. The greening process is unique in that it alternates between shaking and drying the leaves, allowing the edges of the tea leaves to ferment slightly, creating the unique appearance of ‘green leaves with red edges’.
There are many varieties of Oolong tea, and Tieguanyin and Wuyi Rock Tea are well known. Tieguanyin has a curly, sturdy shape and a sandy green colour. After brewing, the aroma is rich and fragrant, with orchid fragrance and distinctive sound. The tea soup has a mellow and sweet flavour with a long sweet aftertaste. Wuyi Rock Tea has the unique flavour of ‘Rock Bone Flower Fragrance’, with the appearance of tight and strong cords, and the colour is greenish-brown and fresh and moist. Its tea broth is mellow and full of rocky flavour, which is suitable for those who like rich taste and a long lasting flavour to savour.
